What We Believe

We are a traditionally oriented worshiping community; we exercise our gift of music through liturgy and traditional hymnody. We are a Bible preaching church, looking towards the future by nurturing discipleship and working together, to build the Kingdom of God.

We believe in God the Father, creator of heaven and earth.

We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, our Lord and Savior.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.

We believe we are justified by grace through faith.

We believe in the use of the means of grace: the proclamation of the Gospel, baptism, Holy communion, confession and forgiveness.

We believe in one baptism for the forgiveness of sin and the receiving God’s gift of the Holy Spirit.

We believe Jesus Christ is truly present with us during communion, in, with and under the elements of bread and wine.

We believe we are called to forgive those who have sinned against us, as God our Father has forgiven us our sins.

We believe in the Bible as God’s divinely inspired Word to us, given so we may understand God’s relationship with us; tell the story of God’s people and how God worked with and through them, of God’s continual forgiveness and promise of salvation to them and us.
