Faith Fun and Fellowship (FFF)

FFF is an after School Christian program of education and fellowship.  For students, grades K-4.   Held each Wednesday following school dismissal.  Students are escorted by adult leaders to the church basement at 301 South Montana Avenue.  Dismissal is at 5:00pm. All are welcome.  A snack is provided at the start of each time together. This gathering is intended to provide a safe and nurturing place for your children regardless of church affiliation or background. Students will be involved in activities, games, stories, singing, crafts, and occasional local outings intended to teach them about Jesus Christ.

Emails are sent to update and remind parents about classes and cancellations.

Confirmation

Contact Pastor Judy to learn about Immanuel’s Confirmation program.  It is available for High school students, college students and adults who desire to learn more about the Ten Commandments, Apostle’s Creed, Lord’s Prayer, Baptism, Holy Communion, Confession and Forgiveness, and Prayer through the lens of Luther’s Small Catechism.  This is a program that culminates with students confirming their own affirmation of faith in a special service scheduled upon completion.

First Communion

Provided for families desiring an understanding of the Lord’s Supper for them and their children.  We will walk through the service, what we believe, and gain an understanding of Christ’s real presence in the sacrament.

Choir

The Immanuel Lutheran Choir is key to maintaining this tradition of “making a joyful noise unto the Lord.”  Under the direction of Dan Aadland, assisted and accompanied by Sandy Verschoot, the choir presents masterworks of traditional Christian music from major composers such as Bach and Handel, but also delves into the world of spirituals and even bluegrass/gospel.  In every case the mission of the choir is not to perform but to enhance the worship, to be an integral part of it.  If you like to sing and would consider joining this group, contact Dan Aadland or Pastor Judy.

Bible Studies

Sunday Bible Study @ 9am establishes the importance of scripture for our understanding and growth as Children of God and is a vital artery in Immanuel’s heart.  We gather to read, share, and discuss God’s word for our lives.  All are welcome into this comfortable setting with morning coffee.

Media Ministry

Immanuel records a full video production of its worship services each Sunday. It is available as video-on-demand on YouTube.  For our shut-ins, those traveling and our friends out of the area, we encourage you to tune in using the link on this website or you can find us on the YouTube site by typing in Immanuel Lutheran Absarokee Montana.

Pastoral Care

Pastor Judy makes house calls!  If you or a friend or a member of your family has a need for Pastoral care, she can meet you in her office at church or come to your home or hospital room to share God’s word and sacrament.

Baptism

In baptism God frees us from sin and death by joining us to the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are born children of a fallen humanity; by water and the Holy Spirit we are reborn children of God and made members of the church, the body of Christ.
